Here are some other miscellaneous snippets.
On 1 February 1988, the then University College of North Wales (UCNW) student magazine Y Seren wrote a great article on BRBS as part of the Rag Week publicity. You can find the whole issue archived on Bangor University's own website, and the article is on page 8.
Student-led radio broadcasting has been around since the 1960s, albeit at low power medium wave and licensable only for campus-style sites. In 2003 under changed regulations student radio came back to Bangor in the form of Storm FM, at low power and serving only the Ffriddoedd halls site. In 2009 it went online, the last website entries were in around 2018, and the website seems finally to have closed in mid-2024. Full time stimulating radio is a big commitment. The Storm FM name has also been used by other stations. Credit is given to BRBS in an article on Storm FM on the en-academic website.
On the Connect Universities website, there is an entry for Bangor University. It's very short, and nearly half of it is about a certain radio station… with the same text as the Storm FM article.
