An hour-long documentary-style radio programme was made in 1979 - and broadcast in Bangor - telling the story of student-led radio in the area up to that point. It was called "Coming live to you from Bangor", taking its cue from one of the jingles. A transcript of the narrative is in The BRBS Scrapbook, and the programme includes many excerpts of broadcast programmes over the years up to that point. The files here are copies from the master tape, in stereo, and the quality depends on the source material.
You can listen to it now:
You can download the story as an mp3 file with a size of 90 MB. This is a compressed audio format, but generally more than good enough for most purposes, and should play on almost everything.
Or you can download the story as an uncompressed audio m4a file also known as "Apple Lossless", with a size of 271 MB, for the best quality. It will play on many devices.
